History
AVsmart Technologies, a California corporation, was founded in 1986 as U-Edit Video Center, Inc. Services included do-it-yourself video editing, home movie transfers, video production, and equipment rental. In 1994, U-Edit was destroyed by fire but the company continued as Pro Video Services. Pro Video Services, a full service television production company, also specialized in equipment rental and facility design and integration. Clients included Court TV, ESPN, Jim Burke Ford, Aera Energy and Mercy Hospital. During the mid-1990’s Pro Video provided services for Court TV including live production from inside the O.J. Simpson Murder Trial.In January of 1999, Pro Video Services became Audio Visual Plus. Over a 15 year period, Audio Visual Plus became Kern County’s “Audio Visual Headquarters” for corporate audio/visual equipment rental and services, video presentation, HDTV production support, and system sales, design & integration. With over 28 years serving Kern County and Bakersfield’s needs in the audio/visual industry, the company decided to focus solely on corporate A/V system sales, design & integration and in 2014 became AVsmart Technologies.
